Pledging the most powerful secret society in the world was always going to be difficult. Their Trials are legendary. Dangerous. Testing candidates in ways no one imagines.

But what I don’t count on is being grouped together with three men who might hinder my real purpose.

The tatted, reckless “black sheep” would rather ruin me than build me up.

The royal bad boy’s stalker-like obsession knows no bounds.

Then there’s my gorgeous Economics professor who’s perfect on the outside but rotten in the middle.

Who would’ve thought the biggest test of all was going to be staying away from them?

I can’t trust them with my secret though. They’re part of the same social elite that I despise. They’re tethered to the organization I plan to destroy.

However, my body and my brain aren’t always on the same page.

If they strip me down to uncover my truths, I’ll be the next tragic headline.

No one crosses the Knights and lives.

♥♥♥

PRETTY SECRETS is the first book in a dark college RH romance series with a secret society, rich, powerful men, and a strong heroine on a desperate mission.

Talk about intense!! and that bloody cliffhanger gahhhhhh.
Eden starts at Carnegie University. A prestigious place to learn.
Here she ends up in the running to be one of the legendary Knights, all the while hunting for her twin sister's killer.
She has to join alliances with three other people who will help her on her road to becoming a knight.
A gripping plot with shocking scenes. Many spicy scenes will leave you drooling.
Now I need book 2 asap.
Note triggers.
If you like Dark Society-themed romances, then this is for you.

While reading this I'm completely torn between loving Eden, Oliver, Alaric and Leo's story and wanting more of Delilah and Keegan (& maybe Tim).

I want to be all in with this story but I'm feeling like there's too much leftover from Hush, Hush.

Aside from those feelings, I love the beginning of the Pretty Little Dead Girl series and I also love everything I've read by E.M. Moore. I can't wait for this ride to continue!!

Whaaaaat 😱 that cliffy tho

I have so many questions - my mind is spinning 😵😆😅 initial thoughts while I figure out a coherent review

This story hooked me throughout. Love love love having the Multi-POV. I am loving the secrets and mystery. I'm totally digging these characters and can't wait to see what's next for them 👀

So this book had good writing and you like all the characters, but I’m just not getting why Eden is on a mission to find out about her dead sister Delilah, has her boxes from her dorm room and takes WEEKS to go through them, I mean, wasn’t that the point of her being with the Knights? To get her sisters info and get some dirt on them? I personally think she did a crappy job at trying to dig deeper. Not a bad book but not great either because of that, I expected her to find more about her dead sister and unravel more. Oh well. Hope everyone else enjoys it! And good grief with the cover, has nothing to do with the book, it should’ve had a pic of her and her sister or something.

I’m only 12% in, but I dislike these men. This is possibly attributed to my book slump or their personalities … it’s a toss up.

The problem is, I think I would have grown to like the FMC. She gives off a very bitter and vengeful vibe, which I can totally get behind.

Again, the problem is the men !! I’ve only met two of them, Leo and Oliver. Not keen about finding out about the other dude, he shall remain faceless and nameless.

So we get introduced to Leo in chapter two and it’s already too soon. He kinda runs the Uni and lives/ maybe used to live in this hall where the FMC now stays. In the previous year, he describes how he used to force female students to sleep with him, otherwise he would make them ‘homeless’, but having them removed from this hall. Total di**head. He is also pretty graphic about the what it would have done with her ‘dead’ sister. Total di**head and a weirdo pervert. I think we should scrap his POV all together.

Oliver. Now it’s biggest red flag for me is unfortunately that he is British. Not normal British… stereotypical British. With the ‘bugger off’ and the ‘loves’, I just can’t do it (FYI I am British and don’t hate British men. I think I just strongly dislike the cliche that is Oliver). It’s like the author said ‘we must make it extremely evident that he is British’ and how must she do this, by mentioning that he has traveled to the US with CHINA ‘TEA SET’. What 18 year old travels with a ‘tea set’. What 18 year old has a ‘tea set’.

Deep down I know this carbon copy of Prince William on steroids will only get worse. Did I also mention that he is a distant Prince and 9th in his line. These cliches are a little grating to read and no British man is like this. If he is he’s most definitely a k*obhead. (This points were mentioned in ONE chapter)

I think part of me is being a little harsh and the other part is most definitely not in the mood for a bully romance with problematic men. I possibly made the wrong choice with this one. Apologies if it’s a favourite, also sorry Oliver 🫣🫣🫣

i really liked this. and the fact that i had the POVs of all FOUR OF THEM 😌😌😮‍💨 the somtory was written well, the way it ended on a cliffhanger, but gave us enough information throughout the book to WANT to read the second book is chefs kiss. i love all the characters, but i just wish dee was alive because Keagan and Dee had the perfect ‘forced marriage, enemies to lovers’ type of story :(

TikTok led me to this book, but I didn't even manage to get to the spice that led me to read it.

DNF at 56%.

There were a few times where I nearly stopped reading Pretty Secrets but I persevered but unfortunately this is not the book for me. It's a shame because it had potential, and the spice was hot and I enjoyed those parts it wasn't well written.

I felt as if a switch flipped after a point in this book. The writing went from massively over detailed to "normal" which I found odd. The first few chapters were especially hard to read because of the over detailed text. This was the first time I almost stopped reading.

There were some strange phrasing like "My balls pucker" and "My breasts are so tight". I read a lot and not much bothers me but these made me cringe I was not feeling it. Nope. Like, am I the only one to find these strange?

And lastly, the writing style let nothing to the imagination. Nothing. There was a lot of telling and internal monologue and I found myself skipping pages because it was failing to keep my attention.

I know I'm the minority considering the amount of high reviews, however Pretty Secrets didn't do it for me unfortunately.

I floved Pretty Secrets by E.M. Moore as expected❤️ I truly dreaded the ending, kept checking how many pages left and stressed over saying goodbye even for the time being. It had everything I wished for in a book;

💋reverse harem
💋3 insanely hot, cocky and different men (one
happens to be a prince 😉)
💋a healthy dose of voyeurism (hawt🌶🌶🌶)
💋secret society and trials
💋secrets and betrayals
💋strong heroine who knows what she wants and
likes in her personal life
💋plot full of suspense

My opinion; definitely one-click it! You won’t regret it. I just hope the second book comes out sooner rather than later🙏🏻

Head exploding, freaking awesome read

Omg that cliffhanger ending has blown my head to pieces!!!!!

This book starts out from the pov of Leo, which gives you just a hint of what's to come. Then we meet Edie who is at her sisters funeral. This is when she decides she's going to find out who killed her sister.
We get to meet Prince Oliver when she gets to her sisters college and from here things just take flight. As they both get invited to join the Knights, this is when all the mind bending twists come into play. Whilst also giving us some steamy scenes too, as well as a hot Alaric in the form of her professor and also a Knight.

To then come to such a mind blowing ending that has left me feeling numb and needing more. I need !!!! To know what happens next.

Bookstagram and Booktok most definitely brought this book, and the series, to my attention. Not even surprised with how quickly I devoured the first two books either. I'm not happy about the waiting period for the next one but I'll learn to cope with other books until then.

In Pretty Secrets, you will meet Eden. We know that she's about to head off to some prestigious university to learn one thing: what exactly happened to her twin sister, Delilah. With secret alliances, and three dangerously hot men in life, she needs to become a knight to figure out what exactly happened the night she died. Of course, it's so hard to figure out who to trust and who not to.

As for the men - Leo, Prince Oliver, and Alaric - well, it's hard to pick a favorite. Right now, Oliver is definitely winning because he's always had feelings for Eden. Plus, he's the only one we can truly trust because he will always have her back. Alaric definitely has some secrets up his sleeve and I can't wait to figure them out. Then there's Leo, her dark horse (I guess). Now his family is all kinds of messed up and I have a feeling he's going to need to grovel a whole lot before this series ends.

In the end, I hate cliffhangers, and this definitely has one.

Ended up dnf at 13% bec Oliver (fmc bsf) and Leo's (love interest) thoughts honestly made me uncomfortable. Like Oliver jerking off to his bsf who's sleeping beside him and then when he wakes her up with head he puts him c☆m (thst he spilled on the bed) inside her without her knowing like wtf? And Leo thinks that degrading women is a personality trait? He literally said that the women at "his" college could either fuck him or be find other sleeping arrangements.... and says something along the lines of "most the girls practically jump at the chance to fuck me, others need a little motivation, nothing a threat of homelessness can't fix" I honestly don't even want to finish reading to see if they get any "character development" bec why does it takes them loving a woman for them to finally respect one?

This freaking story has me in its grip and I can’t escape Eden and the guys. My emotions are seriously running wild. After I read the prequel, I wasn’t quite sure what really happened. I didn’t want to believe the cruelty and consequences. But with the secrets and insane trials in this book...the Knights are a demented and evil organization. Who can you trust? Keegan...the fiancé? Alaric the knight assigned for her “safety”? Leo the bad boy who’s getting a second chance? Prince Oliver her best friend who stalked her to her new college? The twisted investigation is turning in so many directions and I’m not sure where it’s leading. I need more of this story now. The ending has me on pins and needles. So freaking dark and good!

You need to read this if you like RH, if you like secret societies, love mystery, secrets, betrayals, royals, and suspense. This series started with an amazing bang, so word reading, there is a lot going on, one cliffhanger that is killing me, and well we get Eden's story which is full of everything you ever wanted to read. These Knights are going to be the death of me in the best way. Mind-blowing 5 stars!

What do a British Royal, a rich bad boy and a college economics professor all have in common? Trust me, you’re going to want to read this book to find out! Pretty Secrets is the first book in EM Moore’s Pretty Little Dead Girl series, however I strongly recommend you first read the prequel, Hush Hush. You certainly don’t have to but it will only enhance your reading experience.

Angsty college new adult meets murder mystery, Pretty Secrets is a thrilling, captivating read that I could not put down. Books like this are my favorite to read- filled with secrets and half-truths, everyone has their own agenda and you never really know all that is happening. Erin’s writing is flawless and she keeps us on our toes and constantly guessing through a twisty and turny fast-moving plot.

I am a HUGE fan of Erin’s and have read and loved almost all of her books, but this group of characters may just be my favorite. Eden is feisty and tough yet vulnerable, and is unapologetically herself(even when pretending to be someone else). The guys are sexy as hell and although not all of them have fully embraced their feelings yet, they are all clearly drawn to Eden.

Sometimes with an RH series it takes a book or so to really get into the spice but Pretty Secrets just dives right in and Erin, I think this may be your HOTTEST book yet! Damn! The book is almost hot enough to forgive you for that brutal cliffhanger…but I just can’t. I’m still trying to recover.

Run, don’t walk…yes RUN and preorder this book so you get it as soon as it comes out on Feb. 11. Absolutely incredible series start!

The detail to the storyline in this book is so good, you know from the start it's going to be a whirlwind of secrets, deceit and a whole load of fuckery! Eden isn't just upset over her sisters death, she is seething. Her one and only thought is revenge. We get to follow Eden on her path to revenge, she bumps into her old friend Oliver who worships the ground she walks on. The only problem is? He got friend zoned a while back... then there is the hot professor, is there more than meets the eye with this brooding hot AF teacher? ... then there is my Leo 😉 he is a moody, broken guy who just wants to be loved..Not that he would ever admit that but he had a fucker of a granddad who I absolutely despise! He just wants to please him whilst also hating him. He is so caught up in the cobwebs, will he escape before he gets in too deep with Eden and the guys? Secret society's and murder mystery, what's not to love?! Oh and not forgetting the trials, they are pretty savage!! Ohhhh and dont think I forgot about the smut 🥵🥵 hell yeah, it's hot AF... that ending was no ok 😦😦 what the hell?! I have about 100 questions!! Bloody cliff hangers 😫😫😂 cant wait for the next book!!!

I seriously want to drop kick my kindle after reading that ending!! What the bloody hell was that? Im just annoyed by underhand people and how jaw droppingly good it was

Just a heads up id advise you to read the prequel Hush, Hush because a lot of what happens in this book is tied into that one. Mainly because Eden is in Carnegie College to uncover all the mystery surrounding her twin sister Delilah's death. This book is chock full of secrets (all the main characters have them), lies and a secret society. Tied into all of that is Eden's British friend - Oliver (who i loved. Big up the brit lol), a hot teacher -Alaric and a moody, pretty much anti-social (unless your female) bit of a prat - Leo. Who all end up relying on each other.

Omg do these four steam with sexual tension. To me though its the plot twists that grip you in this book and my word are they good! Ive literally just finished this book and my brain is still trying to process it all. I might have to read it again for that. I cant praise this book up enough. I just loved it

What an epic start to the series!

After reading the prequel Hush, Hush I knew that Pretty Secrets was going to be one of those stories that grips you and doesn’t let go, even at the end. I wasn’t wrong. This book far exceeded my expectations, and as a big E.M.Moore fan I can easily say I think this might be her best series yet!
I love the way that all of the characters slowly wormed their way into my heart. Initially I was sad that the characters were different to who I thought they would be, but I soon started to become invested in them and couldn’t turn the pages quick enough.
I’ve been thinking about that ending for days now, trying to come up with theories that mean our FMC wasn’t betrayed by those she cares about. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book Lovely Deceit.

Pretty Secrets is a RH romance with a lot of mystery and twists. If you love a good mystery romance book, you are going to love this one.

I wanted to like this a little more than I did. It was okay, but unfortunately, I didn’t really connect with any of the characters, nor did I feel like I really got to know them. I gave it 3 stars though because the storyline is interesting. The cliffie hooked me enough that I want to know what happens next, so I will definitely be reading the next book. Pretty Secrets

When I finished Hush, Hush I really didn't comprehend Delilah's demise 🤦‍♀️. Like I really had hope for her and Keegan. That shit went over my head for sure. Now here we have Pretty Secrets with Eden her sister. Who's goal is to figure out what happened between Delilah and the Knights. Here I am again with another crazy cliff hanger. I swear Eden better not meet the same fate as Delilah. Excellent new series.

3.5 Stars for me on this one.

I love a dark romance college RH so was super excited to get into this book. I managed to smash through it in a day as E.M Moore has a nice writing style and it's easy to get through her book.

The overall plot line of this one is interesting. We are thrown into a secret society of the wealthy that is dark and twisted with mysteries at every corner as our MC investigates the death of her older sister; a former pledge to the same secret society.

The introduction to all of the various secrets and array of character suspects is enough to keep the plot moving forward and make the reader interested to continue the series to find out what is going on. I'm rating this one as 3.5 stars because while it was an entertaining read, it was missing something to really grip me.

The steam in here is good and each guy in the harem has something different to offer readers but I didn't find any of the characters particularly memorable, and I did struggle to find a connection to them. I also found some of the connections between the MC and the guys almost insta-lust? The need to protect her has come along quite quickly for me which might also have caused my disconnect.

Overall, I am interested to see where the mystery goes and to see the relationships to develop.

I'm not sure how I feel about this series. Gave it three stars but thought about 2. The characters did grow on me after a while and I did want to see them get the HEA. Felt dragged out and then rushed wrap up at end. The character Leo changed his tune about FMC suddenly and felt forced.

Pretty Secrets is choked full of all the delicious angst that I crave in a good read and Moore's books have become known for. Her characters tend to have a complexity I thoroughly enjoy, and Eden is no exception. She wants revenge for her sister's death and is willing to do nearly anything to achieve it. If you can't get enough of Why Choose Romance, plenty of toe curling steam, lots of plot twists and turns, and just enough dark to leave you wanting more, Pretty Secrets should be the next book you grab! 5 Stars!

Holy hotness! This book is EVERYTHING!!! If you’re a fan of dark college, secret society, RH romances that involve a fierce heroine, her dedicated British best friend, the tattooed bad boy set out to ruin her and a taboo relationship with her Economics professor then Pretty Secrets, the first set book in E.M. Moore’s Pretty Little Dead Girl series, is for you! Filled with enough twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat, you better buckle up because Moore is about to take you on a deliciously dark and twisted ride!!!

Eden is the ultimate of FMCs! She’s fierce, feisty, tough as hell and so unbelievably driven in her quest to find the answers she’s desperately searching for regarding her sisters mysterious death that she’s willing to do anything to seek out revenge for her wronged sister. Even if that means taking on the Knights—a powerful secret society that believes they’re Gods and can do no wrong.

Hoping to find her sisters killer, she follows her sisters footsteps and begins the processing of trying to join the secret male driven society and begins her “trials”. When she’s paired up with her best friend Oliver, her professor Alaric and the tattooed bad boy Leo you just KNOW things are going to be good because their unbridled chemistry is off the charts explosive!

“You’re mine. You always have been. Open your eyes, your ears, your senses…”

I love how each of the men impacts who she is as a character, allowing us to see her dedication, her vulnerability, her full blown snark and her unbridled passion for each of the guys. Though what I love most is that even in the midst of trauma and mysterious intrigue, she is still holy and unapologetically herself—even though she may have to pretend to be something else to find the answers she needs. And her men? Let’s just say I CANNOT wait for more of their interactions and for them to finally all come together because when they do? It’s going to be hot!🔥🥵🔥

“He inspects me, like an artist approving his work. “You should be wearing my … all the time.”

This story was absolutely captivating and the ultimate of twist filled, heart stopping, jaw dropping storylines filled with mesmerizing characters that grab a hold of you and just don’t let go. If you read E.M. Moore’s contribution in the Brutal Boys on Devils Night Anthology, Hush Hush, then you NEED to read this book ASAP as that prequel was the perfect set up for this utterly fantastic story.

Overall this story is a definite must read for any dark, university, secret society, RH teacher/student loving fan as it’s jam packed with unlimited amounts of mystery and intrigue, sexual and emotional angst, hidden secrets and shocking revelations, broken trusts and countless betrayals, unbridled passions and super steamy scenes—and that oh so enticing cliffhanger? Utter perfection! Moore definitely knows how to take you on an emotional roller coaster of a ride and keep you dangling on the edge of a cliff of anticipation that’s for sure!

This was alright.

It was interesting enough to keep me turning the pages but the “dramatic ending” at the finale was rushed and underwhelming.

There were just a couple of things I couldn’t get behind. The FL is bland. Nothing new. Nothing fresh. She’s just your basic mock-up of a college “not-like-every-other-girl” revenger heroine.

The male leads were just as bad tbh. The Brit was a cute kicked puppy I switched between routing for and feeling sorry for at all times. Out of the rest of the RH this guy is the most basic, the most “normal”, the most “Richard” or “Chad” like. Very safe in his comfortable white tower and he likes it like that. When they finally had their scene together it felt a bit r@py for a good chunk bc the FL just wasn’t on board with it and he went from sweet tatter tot to “we’re doing this. Now.” And that switch wasn’t really hot- or at least, it could have been done better if anything. Idk.

Leo didn’t make a whole lot of sense to me either. He’s one big raging asshole and the FL wears denim cutoffs and doesn’t immediately about face and present to him when they first meet and he’s gobsmacked, hooked and half in love with her already? Just like that? His fixation on her and wanting to change himself was cute but it didn’t really come off as believable. The same is true with the Professor actually, thinking back on it.

The professor also felt like a random, last minute toss in to the RH. I have issues with the FL doing nothing worth while enough to be impressive or memorable other than refusing to fck immediately either Leo or the Prof at first sight and it bugs me to no end. He’s the oldest of the bunch. He’s admitted he’s had college romps with students. How is she different? Distinguishable? All of them get grouped together for the challenge but their feelings start at their first POV’s for basically no good reason.

Out of all of them the Brit, Ollie, was my favorite and least favorite. That scene at the start? His first POV? When they’re in bed together and he does the thing with his fingers and his *ahem*. That was pretty bad arse. And then he just disintegrates from that point on.

Final thoughts. The cliffy was a bad way to end it in this case when the whole thing was overall a bit lackluster. I did read the sample to the 2nd book but after finishing that, I realized I’m good on this and I won’t be finishing the series.

So, this was alright.

Holy hell that ending is harsh! Talk about a brutal circle of pain!

After losing her sister under mysterious circumstances, Eden wades into the murky world of a secret society controlled by the elite patriarchy, seeking answers as to why her sister died. This is a RH so Eden is surrounded by deliciousness. Unlike a lot of books in this genre one of her men is actually her best friend (with benefits) and although the relationship is tenuous and rife with uncertainty on the romantic front, our heroine automatically has an ally in Oliver. Leo and Alaric are a different story. Although they’ve aligned themselves with Eden (or been forced to) trust is hard won… the giving and receiving of orgasms however is a different story 🥵

Pretty Secrets has a decent pace and an intriguing plot that kept the pages turning. It’s steamy and action packed with a heroine you want to see succeed, surrounded by men you want to claim… mostly 😜

Has a little bit of Vengeance is Mine series by Ashley Gee feels..with the secret society, dead sister and weirdly held secrets. It's great to see E.M Moore write so out of her usual pattern of stories. It's a little bit more darker (not the generic dark romance stuff though) than her previous books. Can't wait to read the next book!
